Bio
Monica is the founder and CEO of Netmedia, a Mexican independent publishing company specialized in business technology.
Monica has a college degree in Communication by the Universidad Iberoamericana. In 1982 she joined EXPANSION magazine as an editor, the top business publication in the country. She became Executive editor in1986 through 1988. But since 1983 she started covering the IT industry and was in charge of the quarterly Special Reports even after she left,
as a free-lance writer until 2000.
In 1990 she became Executive Editor of PERSONAL COMPUTING MEXICO, a monthly magazine published by Consorcio Sayrols. With Sayrols, Monica participated in the creation and launch of PC Semanal (1992), Net@ (1996), LINK (1996), and Computer Reseller News Mexico (1996), the former under CMP´s Media LLC license.
In 1994, Monica had become Publisher of the Computing Division of Consorcio Sayrols, where she worked until 1999.
From 2004 to 2006 she produced and hosted the weekly TV program InnovationWeek,at Channel 52, in collaboration with MVS.
Monica has two kids, Pia and Emilio, and three from her second husband: German,Natalia and Miranda.
